Shasta.Bank

Online banking built to move money between Europe, Venezuela and the US — low-fee cross-border transfers for people who send money across borders regularly.

Client

Shasta

Sector

Fintech — cross-border banking

Markets

Europe, Venezuela, US

Deliverables

App, card, website, social

Moving money between Europe, Venezuela and the US usually means high fees and slow transfers. Shasta was built to fix that.

Shasta is an online bank for people who regularly send money across these three markets — holding EUR and USD in the same account, converting between them at a visible rate, and sending to contacts or bank accounts with low fees. The product spans a mobile app, a physical and virtual Visa card, a marketing site and the social presence that supports it.

The interface leans on a simple idea: money should feel as easy to move as typing a number on a keypad.

The App

Send, hold, exchange

A numeric keypad front and center for sending or requesting money, a multi-currency balance (EUR/USD) with linked cards and bank accounts, an exchange screen with a visible rate, a contacts-based send flow, and a profile with verified documentation and balances per currency.

The Card

Physical & virtual Visa

A minimal black Visa card carries the Shasta mark as its only graphic element, with Mastercard and partner-bank variants for different markets. Paired with the app, the card becomes a spending layer on top of whichever currency balance the user picks.

Website

"Your money without limits"

A responsive marketing site — desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile — built around a single message: transfer, request and send money easily and securely, with a sign-up form to get onto the app early.

Social & Growth

Membership tiers (Lite, Lite+, Premium) explained through simple pricing cards, seasonal creative for the card launch, and organic posts across Instagram and Twitter driving sign-ups — plus paid social breaking down the app's core actions: send money instantly, pay third parties, bank transfers, and a fee-free card.

Focus areas

What the work prioritizes
01

A send/request flow simple enough to use as fast as a calculator, in a language-agnostic keypad.

02

One consistent identity across app, card, web and social, in three very different markets.

03

Clear, visible exchange rates and fees — the core trust problem for cross-border money.
